The situation

BBMA is the striking camp of Johnny Barra Benavides at The Block in Pererenan, Bali. In July 2026 it had a full gym, a roster of fighters with real stories and a founder who was coaching all day and posting at night. It needed a production company to make the story worth following, a producer to hold the budget and the schedule, and a plan to turn the audience into a business, all in the same summer. Most brands hire those three separately and hope they talk to each other.

The brief

Produce The Kids At The Block, a six episode documentary series. Run the gym's social as a cinematic retainer on our own kit through the run up to a professional fight card, and build the funnels the camp needed to launch paid products off the back of the series.

The work

What we actually did

01

Sixteen shoot days to fight night

Sophia produced the run as Line Producer: a locked budget delivered on schedule and sixteen shoot days from mid July to Art of War Vol. 2 on 8 August. The deal room, release forms, permits and a team portal with eight logins were in place from day one, so the director could direct and the founder could coach.

02

A series with a real ending

The series follows the roster from the gym floor to a full professional card, shot multi camera in 4K and graded in house. Three episodes are live, the longest cut so far runs 20 minutes 15 seconds, and Season One completes at the end of September. The RND6 six week online course was captured on the same shoot days, so one production paid for two products.

03

Fighters who became the audience

Burthong Rai went from 1,124 followers to 5,255 during the series and has since signed with K-1 World GP India. Vinny Johnson, El Chino, made his debut on camera. Fahri Alamsyah, the national champion on the roster, brought a 20,000 strong following into every posting round. The BBMA account, Burthong's account and Vinny's account each passed a million views over the run, and a single posting round across the fighters reached a median of around 235,000 views.

04

From a series to a business

Alongside the episodes we ran the gym's account as a cinematic retainer, around thirty finished pieces a month cut vertically from the same masters. In October 2026 BBMA launches on the audience the series built: immersive training camps and the RND6 course, each with a waiting list already in place, and Art of War Vol. 3 as the live event that closes the loop.

What it proves

We shoot it, budget it and build the business around it ourselves, in Bali, with our own kit and crew. When an offer needs a film, a series or a live event, one team carries it from the first shoot day to the launch.
